France-Aime Neubert (Cousine France)
born 15 August 1916, died 19-7-2000. She neither married nor had children. Her parents were Hermann Neubert and Emeline nee Vautier. She had 2 siblings: Guy and Jean-Marc.
Cousine France was a redoubtable lady who for many years was a matron in the French health service. Elinor Gossling swears that that when she was in the Paris hospital where France worked (giving birth to her daughters) the nurses whispered behind their hands things to the effect "Sister France's family - look after her well...". Always well organised, France remained hale and hearty until a few days before her rapid death from heart problems, a few months after having set all her affairs in order and planned funeral details.
